The title of this work on paper is Hebrew for something like ‘from generation to generation’. I was inspired by a song (On and On L’Dor VaDor) by a bluegrass group known as Nefesh Mountain (‘nefesh’ means soul in Hebrew). The song is about how we carry those who came before us and pass on their memory to the next generation. It is this ‘light’ that gives us a sense of place in our lives. As soon as I showed it to my daughter, she shouted “Mine!”. ..and so it was.
