This piece is one of my favorites. Many years ago, I was driving from San Francisco to Colorado and found myself out in the middle of nowhere on a very, very cold evening. Off in the distance, I saw Distant City Lights that guided me to the small town of Green River, Utah. One diner and a motel – more than enough to warm the body and soul.
