Navigating a relationship can often be very challenging and requires that we find a way to get beyond the aggravating or contentious moments. My approach has always been to repair the damage and move on as soon as possible. To persuade my wife to join me, I would always begin by saying “You know, you’re going to forgive me eventually…maybe tomorrow or next week, but you will. So, let’s save time and do it right now.” When she would continue to give me the stare, I would try and say something funny. That usually did the trick. I always liked the time right after the storm.
